The Sun Devils showcased dominant Offense, Defense, and Special Teams in Thursday's win over Northern Arizona University. Emory Jones was the best player on the field, with 198 yards and two touchdowns.

The two-headed rushing attack of Valladay and Ngata combined for 176 yards, with Vallday rushing in two touchdowns.
Simply put, the team hasn't skipped a beat behind the 5th-year head coach and motivational guru Herm Edwards, and after losing Jaden McDaniel a season ago, these new stars have given Sun Devil fans reason for a good night's sleep.
The Jones, Valladay, and Johnson-led offense wasn't the only performance on campus; the Defense was spectacular. Holding NAU to 3 points with two interceptions and 2.2 yards per play. The only time they allowed movement was of their own consequence.
The must-see play of the night goes to Emory Jones 17-yd rushing touchdown. And we cannot forget to mention the freshman kicking stud Carter Brown for his 4-4 night and his 43-yd long Field Goal.
With all the big names entering ASU this season, redshirt sophomore Daniel Ngata stamped his name on this game with a 15-yard rush during ASU's second drive, and a 29-yard rush in the second quarter, to solidify an electric rushing trio.
Without dimming the night too much the biggest correction Coach Edwards must address is playing disciplined in big moments. Two major penalties occurred on the same drive, and our beloved QB had a fumble with one minute left in the first half.
However, the team is in for a night of celebration, with a stellar offensive performance and a night the secondary won't soon forget. They held the R.J. Martinez-led offense to only 119-yds, 96 of the 119 through the air, and two interceptions.
Game Ball will undoubtedly go to new star RB Xazavian Valladay for his dominance on the ground,
he had 119 rushing yards, 7.4 YPC, and two touchdowns.
In the end, as Herm Edwards says, all that matters is ASU wins, 40-3.
Enjoy the win my fellow Sun Devils, and look forward to a wonderful year together!
